Hey Nate! What is your opinion about traditional Heavy Bag vs. Aqua Bag? I've seen you use both in your videos. The Heavy bag I had ripped isn't really repairable and so I am in the market for a new bag and was looking for any suggestions you had or if anyone else on here had an opinion.
Hey Craig, I have both heavy and 2 aquas.. I prefer the aqua as it's less impact on my hands. If you have the space in the garage, go for both? Nice to have the option.
by the way, you have always been the man, but Trevis is killin' it! Mad props and respect to you both!!
Hi Craig, I personally prefer traditional bags. Aqua bags work well in tight spaces but impacts don't feel the same. Leather feels better. BUT..if I was limited with space and wanted to save money..Id get an Aqua bag. I Hope that helps!
I have my whole garage so space isn't an issue. Thanks for the advice!
I have a "regular" wrecking ball bag and wish I had an aqua bag. The ball shape is better for upcuts but the stuffed wrecking ball bag isn't heavy enough to keep the bag stable. It moves around a lot. The aqua bags don't move as much because of the weight.
Since posting this, I replaced my stuffed bag with an Everlast water bag and I'm very happy with the switch. The water bag offers more resistance and moves a lot less during the workout. You need to be wearing good gloves because the bag surface is unforgiving and there's no slip. (I wonder why nobody has offered a vinyl/leather wrapped water bag).
Hi Greg, Water bags are a solid addition to the mix. My only push back is lacks the snap like a leather bag and often works your traps aggressively. That can cause punches to be shortened instead of fully extended. The feel of smashing leather..You cant beat that! The new ELEVATED STUDIO is coming soon!!!!
If I had the space, I would have three bags! Traditional, wrecking ball and water.
You're right. The leather-on-leather smack is great.
Love the program. Can't wait for Elevated Studio.
